CUSTOMS ENTRY WRITER III

Job Profile Summary: Supports import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Conducts audits to verify physical shipments accuracy using bills of lading, invoices, and other documents.Identifies and records any discrepancies.Prepares, distributes or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct.Coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues.Performs data entry of shipping and cargo details into systems following required procedures.Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Management System. Required Skills, Experience, and Education:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of related experience Attention to detail, good time management and ability to work independently.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, & Word.General knowledge of the harmonized tariff schedule.General knowledge of customs and participating government agency regulations.Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English, is required for this position.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:Experience with CargoWise One, preferably the Import Brokerage module.CargoWise Certified Operator (CCO) certification.Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designationPhysical Requirements:Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.Pegasus Logistics Group is breaking the mold and we want employees as passionate and diverse as we are.Pegasus Logistics Group is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
