We offer a supportive environment where your leadership matters, growth is encouraged, and your impact is real.Why Join KCE?Employee-owned, local company invested in our people and our communitiesWork/Life Balance is a Core Value at KCECompetitive Salary with paid overtimeOpportunity for growthFlexible schedules and casual dress codeComprehensive medical plans (HDHP with HSA or traditional options)Employer-paid life & disability Insurance; voluntary life optionsDental and vision coverage401(k) with company match (Traditional & Roth)Paid vacation, sick days, and nine (9) holidaysPaid parental leaveFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Regular company events and team-building activitiesEmployee ownership with growth and leadership opportunitiesWhat You Will DoLead and participate in boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.Operate and oversee surveying equipment including GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors.Direct daily field operations and ensure accuracy and efficiency of survey work.Collect, process, and verify field data for project deliverables.Perform survey calculations including coordinate geometry, traversing, and leveling.Prepare and review field notes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Assist in preparing survey maps, plats, and drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D).Research deeds, land records, and supporting documentation as needed.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and team members to meet project goals.Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania surveying regulations and company standards.Maintain equipment and ensure proper care and calibration.Promote and enforce safe work practices and participate in safety meetings.Mentor and guide junior field staff and support their development.What you BringAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.3+ years of land surveying experience, including field leadership responsibilities.Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification or ability and initiative to obtain the certification is preferred.Strong proficiency with surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, levels).Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Carlson software is a plus.Solid understanding of survey calculations, geometry, and trigonometry.Ability to interpret survey data, maps, and legal descriptions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Effective communication and leadership skills.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.Ability to balance field and occasional office responsibilities.Please NoteThis position is open to candidates currently residing in the United States with legal authorization to work.
