Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary - Assist in the complete oversight of our Confined Space Rescue Program. Help manage CSRTs and equipment to efficiently conduct confined space rescue as needed/scheduled. Additionally, this position will be maintaining clientele relationships, developing new business, and ensuring all rescue service projects are managed thoroughly. This position requires field work at least 60% of the time. RequirementsResponsibilitiesEnsure CSRTs under your direction are following the associated JSAs. Constantly monitor the situational hygiene for changes in personal protective equipment levels. At a minimum, employees must always don Level D PPE unless approved by the H&S Staff or designee.Ensure clear and thorough communication with involved personnel.Establish, maintain, and develop new clientele relationships.Ensure CSRTs practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations.Provide leadership to field crews by managing task assignments to ensure work is completed in a quality fashion.Manage rescue service projects from the initial request, through the operation and finally through the invoicing process.Assist in the training and development of CSRTs.Handle employee concerns efficiently and professionally.Report any Health & Safety Incidents/near misses immediately and assist with any resulting investigations.Perform tasks in accordance with Company and/or Client Policy and Procedures to ensure safety and quality goals are met.Daily and overnight travel may be required when performing rescue services work.Adhere to all regulations and procedures regarding the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.Review work plans and equipment requirements to ensure efficient start and completion of projects.Maximize utilization of Lewis owned resources and proper use and maintenance of all assigned equipment.Properly and thoroughly complete daily notes and company required paperwork, which includes obtaining customer signatures.Safeguard confidential, sensitive, or privileged information.Enforcement of the standards of conduct as defined by our Core Values.Determine if employees are fit-for-duty. If they are not, take appropriate actions.Maintain a roster of CSRTs. Give opportunities to those who show interest and would-be good candidates. Remove CSRTs from the roster who cannot meet expectations of the program.Ensure the readiness, organization, and proper working order of all CSR equipment.Maintain training documentation, rope logs and records of use for each piece of CSR equipment.Train CSRTs at a minimum of once per year to meet federal requirements. Additionally, provide training and testing on a quarterly basis to ensure team readiness.Constant assessment of personnel, equipment, and technology to determine alternative methods.Continuing education- a minimum of 16 hours of education must be received from a 3rd party outside of Lewis Environmental.Investigate emerging technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Lewis Rescue Services.QualificationsHigh School Diploma Required5 Years' experience working in emergency servicesClean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal BackgroundValid Driver's LicenseMust have flexibility in their personal schedule including weekend and on call statusStrong focus on Safety, Integrity, Accountability, and Quality40 Hours OSHA and related Safety Training is preferred.NFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Certifications.Emergency Medical Technician or higher is preferred.Physical ability to raise and lower your own body weight utilizing a rope systemPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 60lbsAbility to work in severe weather conditions both hot and coldAbility to work in confined spacesWork and travel in inclement weatherAbility to stand and exert physical effort performing manual labor 50-70% of the timeAble to tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
