Job Description

FIX Connectivity Engineer - Trading We are seeking a candidate with strong experience in financial markets technology to join our Market Connectivity team. This global team is responsible for developing and maintaining front-office trading solutions, collaborating with brokers, exchanges, ECNs, and third-party platforms across all asset classes and regions. Principal Responsibilities In this role, the candidates primary focus will be on onboarding external trading teams, ensuring seamless integration of third-party trading systems with the Millennium eco-system. Qualifications / Skills Required * 5+ years of Java development experience, including multithreaded systems * Strong experience with the FIX protocol (FIX 4.2 to FIX 5.0) * Extensive Linux development experience * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming * Working knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and multicast * Strong understanding of market structure across equities, futures, options, and FX * 3+ years of experience working in a financial institution * Ability to troubleshoot production issues in a Level 3 support environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Nice to Have * Experience with C++ development * Knowledge of binary trading protocols The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
