This role involves building and maintaining relationships with trucking companies, transportation providers, and logistics partners to ensure efficient operations and achieve business goals. The position requires coordinating shipments, negotiating rates, monitoring deliveries, and communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.Benefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Spending AccountEmployee Support and Mental WellnessShort term disability401k MatchPaid vacationFloating daysEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Engagement EventsAwards and RecognitionTuition ReimbursementService AwardsEmployee Perks & DiscountsJob Responsibilities:Work with independent carriers to haul and deliver products within an assigned geographic territorySchedule full truckload shipments for pickup and delivery (approximately 75-100 loads per week)Search for, identify, and negotiate rates with independent carriers while controlling costsNegotiate rates with existing carriers and brokers for same-day loads and future capacity needsCommunicate detailed load information via phone, email, customer websites, or electronic systemsMonitor and track shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery; address any issues proactivelyBuild, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing carriersCommunicate professionally with customers, operations personnel, and executive managementWarehouse and outdoor yard environmentQualifications:Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detailSelf-motivated individual capable of booking 20+ loads per day consistentlyStrong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and partnersAbility to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersFluent in English (written and spoken); bilingual Spanish is a plusAbility to manage complex or high-pressure customer situations professionallyAdvanced Excel and data management skills1+ years of freight booking experience in a transportation or trucking environmentExperience negotiating and booking truckload freightKnowledge of freight operations and DOT rules and regulationsExperience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred
