Position at New York City Transit Title: Transit Management Analyst Series Department: NYCT Support Authority: NYCT Division/Unit: Maintenance of Way Engineering / Chief Officer Engineering Location: 130 Livingston St., Brooklyn, NY 11201 Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Compensation: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $67,933 - $80,421 (TA) Assistant Transit Management Analyst II $78,874 - $87,847 (TA) Associate Transit Management Analyst $89,162 - $115,445 (TA) Deadline: 4/22/2026 Reporting Manager Chief Engineering Officer, MOW Engineering RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide confidential administrative and operational support to the Chief Officer. Responsibilities include drafting, formatting, proofreading, and distributing correspondence, memoranda, and reports while ensuring accuracy and professionalism. * Ensure organizational efficiency by managing daily office operations, and scheduling. Key duties include answering and directing telephone calls, coordinating and organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining digital filing systems, and greeting clients and visitors. * Serve as the primary point of communication for internal and external inquiries, including telephone calls, emails, and visitors. Maintain effective communication flow between departments and stakeholders. * Uphold strict confidentiality, discretion, and compliance with NYCT/MTA policies and procedures at all times. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II: * A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or * A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above. Special Note: To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above. Associate Transit Management Analyst: * A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or * A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry. DESIRED SKILLS: * Proficient in Microsoft office, scheduling software * Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities * Key soft skills include attention to detail, discretion, customer service and adaptability to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.
