Parts SupervisorPosition SummaryThe Parts Supervisor leads daily parts and inventory operations to support maintenance, repair, and preventative activities within an airport environment. This role combines hands-on leadership with operational oversight to ensure parts availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient support of maintenance teams.Top QualificationsPassenger boarding bridge (PBB) experienceStrong mechanical aptitudeTroubleshooting skillsKey ResponsibilitiesOperations & Inventory ManagementSupervise daily parts operations, including scheduling, procurement, receiving, and material distributionEnsure parts and materials are available to support maintenance and preventative operationsMaintain accurate inventory records within CMMS systems, including data entry and reconciliationVerify incoming materials and resolve discrepancies (damaged or incorrect shipments)Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, train, and mentor team members to drive performance, safety, and customer satisfactionParticipate in team briefings, shift handoffs, performance reviews, and recruiting effortsPromote accountability and continuous improvement across the teamProcurement & Vendor ManagementEvaluate vendor quotes and performanceNegotiate purchases and monitor contract complianceEnsure cost-effective procurement aligned with operational needsReporting & Continuous ImprovementAnalyze material usage trends and track KPIsDevelop reports to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtimeSupport maintenance and operations leadership with data-driven insightsSafety & CompliancePromote and enforce safety standards through daily leadership and participation in inspectionsEnsure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and safety programsOversee safe operation of forklifts, vehicles, and material handling equipmentQualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or maintenance support1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experienceAbility to obtain and maintain an airport security badgeFlexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (Mechanical, Industrial, Business, etc.)Experience in airport operations, ground support equipment, or facility maintenanceProficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentationStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlFrequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 poundsAbility to work in environments requiring visual focus, depth perception, and situational awarenessWork EnvironmentAirport operational setting, including warehouses, maintenance shops, and baggage system areasExposure to moving equipment, aircraft operations, weather conditions, fumes, vibration, and loud noiseMust follow all safety protocols and PPE requirementsEOE (including Disability/Veterans)
