The Safety Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, safety, and accident prevention across our operations. APPLY TO LEARN MOREResponsibilities and Essential Functions:Inspect vehicles or other equipment for evidence of abuse, damage, or mechanical malfunctionInspect vehicles or equipment to ensure compliance with rules, standards, or regulationsExamine transportation vehicles, equipment, or systems to detect damage, wear, or malfunctionConduct vehicle or transportation equipment tests, using diagnostic equipmentInspect repairs to transportation vehicles or equipment to ensure that repair work was performed properlyPrepare reports on investigations or inspections and actions takenIssue notices and recommend corrective actions when infractions or problems are foundInvestigate complaints regarding safety violationsWalk the lot throughout the shift clearing any debrisPerform minor maintenance to fleet including but not limited to, changing headlights and wipers Support warehouse operationsOther duties as directed by management/ownershipKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:This role schedule is required overnights from 5:00pm-5:00am.Working knowledge of the truckload transportation industry.Solid understanding of FMCSA and DOT safety regulations.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and hazards.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to respond to urgent safety situations when needed.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Dependable, trustworthy, and highly responsible.Required Experience:Minimum of 2 years' experience in transportation safety, compliance, or inspection.Experience with driver evaluations, vehicle inspections, and regulatory compliance preferred.*Good Greek and our affiliates are equal opportunity employer.
