To learn more about our firm, please visit our Web site at .Responsibilities:We are currently seeking a Transportation Design Engineer for immediate employment in our Columbus, Ohio or Indianapolis, Indiana office. The Successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience in a wide roadway and highway projects.Below are a few of the key qualifications they are looking for:Perform complex engineering road and highway tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.Extract engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and other Engineers working on the same project.May be required to sign and seal documents as the professional Engineer of Record, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.Design experience in structures and/or highway Department of Transportation (DOT) projectsPE License, NCEES certified with ability to be licensed in any StateJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 6+ years of related work experience.PE in Indiana and or Ohio preferred.Experience with design and plan development for DOT and transit projects; INDOT and ODOT preferred.Proficiency with OpenRoads, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts and construction techniques.Recruitment Agency Statement: Resource International Inc.
