The 1916 Company's vibrant community extends from coast to coast and around the world. Overview The 1916 Company is looking to add to our team in the Pikesville MD, location. The Inventory and Receiving department is looking for a generalist to assist in receiving all product and assist in transferring inventory between store locations. The successful candidate must have excellent personal communication skills, enjoy working as a team member in an exclusive luxury environment, a base knowledge of luxury goods (including jewelry and watches), and the technical skills to operate our internal systems. The 1916 Company is looking to add a driven professional who aims to succeed in a luxury environment while delivering the best experience to our clientele. Key Responsibilities: Receive and log packages daily with accuracy and timeliness. Input detailed appraisal information about merchandise, including pricing and vendor details, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Perform quality control checks on all incoming jewelry and watches to maintain the highest standards. Conduct cycle-count inventories and assist with physical inventories across multiple store locations. Communicate effectively with jewelry and watch vendors regarding shipments, returns, and inventory inquiries. Manage price adjustments and retag merchandise as needed. Prepare, process, and securely ship jewelry and watch items to vendors. Collaborate within an office team setting, while maintaining focus and attention to detail. Additional Duties: Assist with morning and evening setup of showcase displays. Provide support on the sales floor during high-volume periods, including sales events, some weekends and holidays. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury retail, preferably in jewelry and watches; luxury hospitality; or luxury automobile environments. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in pricing and vendor information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word. Flexibility to work some holidays and weekends (advance notice provided). Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset. General knowledge or a keen interest in luxury jewelry and watches. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a fulltime in office position, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to Close (Generally 5:30PM) On a rotating basis, you will assist with store closing activities 2 days per week.
