Senior Traffic EngineerDepartment: CivilEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Bloomington, MNCompensation: $70,000 - $135,000 / yearDescriptionFounded in 1973, ISG is a nationally recognized, multi-disciplinary firm delivering full-service architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning solutions. We're excited to grow our Transportation team with the addition of a Senior Traffic Engineer. This position can be based in any ISG office location. We believe we are better together, and this role is designed as an in-office position to support collaboration, mentorship, and team connection across our offices.In this role, you will work closely with Will Kratt, PE, PTOE, Transportation Business Unit Leader, and Barrett Hubbard, PE, PTOE, Transportation Engineer to lead traffic engineering projects to serve state departments of transportation, city, and private sector clients. This includes evaluating travel demand management and how traffic challenges may be manageable through actions such as thoughtfully planned land use strategies.We're proud to support clients across the country with creative, forward-thinking solutions. If this sounds like a mission and culture you want to invest in, explore your career potential within our Transportation team.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect traffic data, perform intersection evaluations, complete traffic and corridor studies, and conduct analyses using simulation and modeling softwareLead projects in traffic related design including traffic signal and roundabout plans, roadway lighting plans, signing and striping plans, construction staging and traffic control plansPrepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimatesBuild and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectationsAct as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on transportation projectsServe as a mentor and leader for local internal ISGers that demonstrates a high degree of professionalismSupport additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational successWe've listed a compensation range that reflects our expectations for this role, including both direct and indirect components.
