The Office of Rail is looking for a dynamic, solutions-driven manager to oversee our Infrastructure and Asset Management Unit, the team responsible for federal grant portfolio management, real estate actions, permitting, Amtrak-focused activities on the Michigan Line (state-owned passenger rail) and state-owned rail asset management. In this role, you will: • Monitor the federal rail grant portfolio to ensure timely progress and accurate documentation. • Lead permitting, real estate reviews and trespass/encroachment initiatives. • Oversee complex, project documentation and process reviews. • Guide Michigan Line agreements and key relationships with Amtrak and other railroads. • Inspire, mentor and grow a talented team shaping the future of rail in Michigan. Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
