This is a hands-on, challenging and fast-paced position with bonus upside for highly exceptional performance. The candidate must be self-motivated, independent, and able to handle multiple priorities.The Logistics Coordinator is directly responsible be working closely with customers, overseas offices, internal stakeholders and third parties to affect the timely and cost-effective delivery of each shipment. This role will work with the Logistics Manager to plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, cost, transit time and security of the cargo.Logistics Coordinator Role & Responsibilities:Develop detailed plans for international shipmentsPrepare loading plansComplete paperwork / BOLsEnsure delivery dates of shipments are metCoordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipmentsRespond to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channelsReview purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracyMake special shipping arrangements as necessaryTrack and fix shipping errorsEnsure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standardsDevelop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organizedLogistics Coordinator Skills & Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree (supply chain & logistics concentration is a plus)3+ years' experience in bulk marine operations and/or logistics managementAbility to work with little supervision and track multiple processesKnowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirementsComputer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)Previous customer service experienceOutstanding organizational and coordination abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThrives in a fast-paced environmentSalary: $65,000-$75,000 per yearJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Norwalk, CT - Hybrid (3 days a week in office)Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insurancePrincipals only.
