OT Solutions Specialist, Junior

Audubon is seeking a motivated and technically curious Junior OT Solutions Specialist to join our growing Operational Technology (OT) Solutions team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing hands-on experience in industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, and control system environments. The Junior OT Solutions Specialist will work under the guidance of senior engineers and the OT Solutions Supervisor, supporting project execution, documentation, testing, and field activities while developing foundational skills in OT systems and standards. This position emphasizes mentorship, structured learning, and long-term career development within the OT discipline. This position may be offered as full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability and business needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Areas of Responsibility will include: * Assist with the implementation and support of OT network and cybersecurity solutions in industrial environments * Support senior team members during client projects, including site work, testing, and commissioning activities * Assist with network and system configuration tasks under supervision * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, inventories, and configuration records * Assist with the deployment and support of OT infrastructure systems, including virtualization infrastructure, Windows-based servers, identity services, and backups * Support routine maintenance activities such as system patching, backup verification, and documentation under supervision * Participate in troubleshooting efforts for OT issues with guidance * Learn and apply OT cybersecurity concepts, standards, and best practices * Support integration efforts between OT systems and IT infrastructure * Follow established safety, security, and change management procedures Work Location & Travel This role is based out of Audubon's Houston office. Due to the hands-on mentorship and training required for this position, candidates must be able to work on-site in Houston. Travel to client sites may be required on a limited basis. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field * Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing concepts) * Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts * Willingness to learn OT systems, industrial protocols, and plant environments * Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset * Ability to travel to client sites as required Preferred Qualifications * Internship or academic exposure to industrial, automation, or OT environments * Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment or similar platforms * Familiarity with Windows Server fundamentals, Active Directory, and basic virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) * Interest in OT cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82) Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
