A high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to provide expert support in a progressive, fast-paced environment. This contract role based in Denham Springs, LA, offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a skilled team committed to outstanding patient care. Key Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; first-time travelers are not eligible. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), and LSRTBE state license (temporary license must be applied for within 48 hours of signing). Proficient in embolization, coiling, ablations, and implant procedures (including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs). Skilled with advanced devices such as Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy. Experience in STEMI care, focusing on first-to-balloon/delivery times under 60 minutes. Ability to perform peripheral and electrophysiology procedures independently and confidently. Responsibilities include: Operating advanced imaging systems (Siemens and Cannon) and managing EPIC with Cupid documentation. Supporting a high-functioning Code STEMI team known for system-best door-to-balloon times. Collaborating closely with physicians and staff to deliver patient-centered procedural care. Participating in weekend coverage and call rotations that require rapid response within 30 minutes when needed. Adapting to emergency team assignments as directed during critical events. Schedule & Workload: Five 8-10 hour shifts per week, typically from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Weekend coverage every other weekend. Call requirements up to 3 times weekly with weekday and weekend rotations. Working in this role means contributing to a dynamic Cath Lab that performs cardiac, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures using state-of-the-art equipment such as Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, Angiojet, Rotoblator, and more.
