Join a leading healthcare team in Louisville, KY, as an MRI Technologist supporting a busy imaging unit known for advanced neuro diagnostics. This contract opportunity features an 8-hour evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an average patient census of 40 per day and a caseload of approximately 6-7 patients per tech. The unit primarily serves patients with neurological conditions such as spine injuries, strokes, and head traumas, as well as student athletes requiring specialized imaging. Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI imaging procedures with a focus on neuro patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. Provide excellent patient care with a positive attitude and clear communication. Operate Siemens Sola and Verio MRI scanners and utilize Cerner EMR to document patient data accurately. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, MRI techs, and tech assistants; may work solo depending on the shift. Adhere to departmental protocols, including wearing designated scrub colors and utilizing badge access parking. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year acute care MRI experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply. Current BLS certification and either ARRT (MR), AMRIT, or appropriate Kentucky license (grandfathered licenses accepted). Experience in neuro imaging and working with diverse patient populations. Strong soft skills including patient-focused care and teamwork. Scheduling Details: Evening shifts: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend rotation and holiday coverage based on unit needs. No on-call responsibilities. Approval required for Requested Time Off (RTO).
