Radiographic Technician PRN

We are seeking an experienced Radiographic Technician (PRN) to provide assist physicians in performing diagnostic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.Inova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility. We provide cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment by highly-skilled, compassionate staff serving the Washington DC Metro area RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Performs radiology services for procedures utilizing c-arm and mini-c-arm support during surgical procedures Assures that all radiology equipment receives annual inspection by a physicist Maintains competence in utilization of c-arm and mini-c-arm and portable x-ray Ensures that dosimeter badges are sent for evaluation of radiation exposure at the appropriate intervals Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures Monitors radiation safety processes in all areas of the center Identifies equipment and supply needs to ensure high quality radiology service Performs on-going monitoring of x-ray gowns and shields to ensures that they are intact and able to provide protection for physicians and staff Maintains all records for inspections and radiation monitoring REQUIREMENTS: Completion of an appropriate radiographic technician program.
