Academic Services Specialist- Orthopaedics

The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland is seeking an Academic Service Specialist to join our leadership team. This position will manage the daily operations , regulatory compliance and administrative functions of medical training programs. This position acts as a liaison between the residents, faculty and the ACGME ensuring adherence to requirements, managing scheduling, overseeing recruitment via ERAS and supporting accreditation site visits. This position will manage recruitment, orientation, graduation and tracking resident/faculty evaluations. Coordination of licensing, credentialling and offboarding. Ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level organizational skills and excellent communication skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in related field of study is preferred * Three to five years of administration of a program, preferably in higher education or healthcare setting * Accurate typing and data entry skills * Excellent organization and communication (oral and written) skills * Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and software used by the department Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
