Shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with holidays required. Every other weekend is required. Floating is limited to the adult population with the same policies, equipment, and charting requirements. Required years of experience: at least 2 years in critical care. First-time travelers are not accepted. Pending State License is accepted; proof of application is needed if the RRT SC license is not yet active. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on unit needs. Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Total staffed beds: 865. The facility includes 2 ICUs, 2 step-down floors, 4 general acute care floors, and an emergency department. Patient population includes cardiac and lung transplant patients, as well as various emergencies. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. This may affect any new or extended assignments during that time. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
