Position Type: Student Support Services/PsychologistDate Posted: 3/23/2026Location: DistrictDate Available: 08/01/2026TITLE: DISTRICT SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTREPORTS TO: STUDENT SERVICES DIRECTORPOSITION GOAL: To assist the academic development of all students including those with suspected or identified disabilities through a variety of methods. Evaluation of students with suspected or identified disabilities and preparation of evaluation summaries for the purposes of educational planning.CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:Master's Degree in school psychology or equivalent from an accredited universityValid School Psychologist license from the Ohio Department of EducationValid driver's licenseClean criminal background checkTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 227 day contract. Salary established by the administrative salary schedule.EVALUATION: One Cumulative, written evaluation per year by the Student Services Director with input from the Superintendent and building principalsPERFORMANCE CRITERIAPROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:Represents the district at meetings that are required or otherwise appropriateSelect, administer, score, and interpret assessments as appropriate for the area of suspected student disabilityParticipates in meetings and provides information concerning student academic ability, achievement, etc.Serves as a resource person concerning students with disabilities for other school personnelInterpret diagnosis to school personnel, other concerned professionals, parents and studentsContribute to differentiated referral system through participation in Intervention Assistance TeamContribute to the written report of the evaluation team, delineating the results of the psycho-educational evaluation and assessment for consideration in the development of the individualized educational plan for each child with a disabilityAttends all necessary conferences (including student placement meetings)Prepare and submit required reports and data on students and special education programs to the Student Services DirectorConsult with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel on matters relating to the education and/or mental health of children to ensure the provision of the most appropriate education programEffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, teachers, administrators, parents and the general publicMaintain an adequate system of documentation and record keepingServe as a consultant to the schools in the development of educational evaluation and accountability procedures, pupil and personnel policies, in-service activities, curriculum, and staff developmentAssist in providing referral to and consultation with outside service agenciesAssist in early childhood, kindergarten, and gifted assessment programsMake behavioral observations of students using structured behavior measuresCollect background data through structured interviews of school personnel or structured reviews of school recordsServes as a resource person in the writing of 504 plansEstablish and maintain a weekly schedule 2.
