Position Type: Student Support Services/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Date Posted: 3/20/2026 Location: Bensenville Elementary School District 2 Date Available: 26-27 School Year Closing Date: When position is filled   Additional Information: Show/Hide Job Title: Certified/Licensed/BCBA with IL PEL - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Job Goal: Improve student access to learning by assessing and addressing behaviors that interfere with academic, social, and emotional success. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement proactive behavioral supports within general and special education settings. * Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop data-driven Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that support positive student outcomes and skill development. * Provide coaching, modeling, and professional development to teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to strengthen effective behavior support practices. * Use behavioral data to monitor student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and guide instructional and behavioral decision-making. * Support the implementation of schoolwide and classroom-based positive behavior systems that promote safe, inclusive learning environments. * Ensure behavioral interventions and practices align with district procedures, special education regulations, and professional ethical standards. Qualifications: * Professional Educator License with LBSI, School Psych, Social Worker endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education. * Certified as a BCBA * Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders. * Demonstrated proficiency in behavior management, instructional techniques, and all aspects of communication, organization, and interpersonal skills * Proven ability to effectively engage with and support students from varied backgrounds and with diverse learning profiles * Possesses all necessary and up-to-date trainings and certifications Duties and Responsibilities: * Design and deliver professional development (in-service training) for staff on behavior management, instructional strategies, and crisis intervention techniques * Engage actively and productively in staffings, meetings, and consultations with colleagues to facilitate comprehensive support for students. * Support staff with technical assistance regarding students demonstrating behavioral, adjustment, and socialization difficulties. * Establish and cultivate positive, supportive working relationships with colleagues, school administration, and community partners * Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in accordance with BACB requirements and district needs. * Collaborate on the creation, implementation, and revision of Functional Behavioral Assessments and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) * Develop and implement individualized behavior and instructional intervention plans. * Track and evaluate the progress of individualized intervention plans and strategies through rigorous data collection and analysis. * Conduct formal and informal assessments and suggest appropriate interventions to support student needs. * Assist in the formulation of annual goals and objectives addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. * Engage in continuous professional growth through conferences, professional organizations, and staying informed on current practices in behavior analysis and special education. * Disseminate and model best practices in behavior management and instructional strategies to staff. * Maintain practices compliant with IDEA and other relevant legal requirements. * Ensure confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions and documentation. * Collaborate with administrators and supervisors to maintain adherence to ethical standards and provide oversight of cases. * Prepare written reports, behavior plans, crisis intervention plans, and other relevant documentation. * Maintain accurate and organized data records for individual student progress and intervention effectiveness. * Provide timely and effective crisis intervention for students, staff, and groups.
