Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of hospital MRI department experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a travel assignment in the Richmond market.Job Details• Radiology - MRI department in a hospital setting,• Patient population includes all ages except pediatrics,• Daily case volume of 35-40 scans,• GE MRI equipment used; PACS system also in use,• Epic EHR experience preferred,• Schedule is a 40-hour week, Friday through Monday (Friday & Monday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM-9:30 PM),• Call requirement of 4 days per month,Job Requirements• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting,• ARRT (MR) certification required,• BLS (AHA) required,• Experience with GE MRI equipment required,• PACS experience preferred,• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred,• Proof of address and a supervisory reference required for consideration,• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration,• License required if applicable,Additional Information• Perform MRI scans according to established protocols under the direction of a Radiologist or physician,• Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risk to patients, staff, and others,• Select proper MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters per established protocols,• Perform IV injections and administer magnetic contrast agents specific to each procedure,• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to radiology maintenance or a supervisor,• Contribute to the training and education of new staff and MRI students,• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
