American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of radiologic technology experience for a 13-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Oregon.Job Details• Pediatric cardiac catheterization lab setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital,• Procedures include both adult and congenital cardiac cases, with potential cross-training to EP, Hybrid OR, or other service areas,• Responsibilities involve circulating in the procedure room and operating imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and ultrasonography,• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,• On-call is required; weekend work required only when taking call,• No floating within the hospital, though candidates may be asked to float to a nearby affiliate hospital - refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation,• Charting via Epic (experience required),• Scrubs are provided; no printed scrub patterns permitted,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience,• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program,• ARRT registration required,• Active Oregon Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license required (pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board),• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required,• Epic EMR experience required,• Pediatric experience preferred,• RCIS or RCES (Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional certification from ASRT) preferred,• EP/Cath Lab technologist knowledge and skills preferred,• Bachelor's degree preferred,• Two supervisor or manager references from within the last 24 months required for consideration (charge RN references are not acceptable),• COVID vaccination proof required - no exemptions,• License required if applicable,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Local candidates are accepted,• RTO requests must be noted at time of submission and may not exceed 2 weeks,• Former OHSU employees or previous travelers at this facility must have been away for a minimum of 6 months before returning as a traveler,• Candidates who previously worked at this facility must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them,• Daily duties include prepping patients and supplies under sterile conditions, scrubbing in with the physician, operating automatic injectors, selecting appropriate contrast agents, and performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting,• Must be able to work independently on call alongside department physicians and nurses,• Fine motor skills are required for tasks such as threading stents and balloons on wires
