Come grow your career with one of .Look for us on and follow us on . For the health of our community ... we are proud to be a tobacco-free campus.As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer with SJHMC, you will perform diagnostic testing to support our cardiac team in their efforts to properly diagnose and treat patients.  Every day,  you will perform various tests on patients with cardiovascular issues. You’ll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients with heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, heart attack, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to major structural repairs. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality electrocardiograms. You’ll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.  Responsibilities Produce ultrasonic images to evaluate hemodynamics of heart valves, chambers and vesselsEnsure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipmentAttends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonographyMinimum: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS program)Previous sonography experience preferredActive certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
