Job Title: Histotechnologist II Location: Charleston, SC Facility Type: Hospital Assignment Type: 3+ Months Contract Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM) Job Summary: The Histotechnologist II is responsible for performing routine and specialized histology procedures to support accurate diagnosis. This role involves working with histology instrumentation and handling tissue samples efficiently in a fast-paced lab environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform microtomy, embedding, and special stains procedures Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination Ensure accuracy and quality control in all lab processes Work efficiently under time constraints and high-volume workload   Required Qualifications: ASCP Certification (Required) High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Strong ability to operate histology instrumentation Ability to make sound decisions under pressure   Preferred Qualification: Experience with Immunohistochemistry (IHC)   Additional Requirements: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and teamwork skills
