American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of acute OR experience, ideally including pediatric cases, for a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center OR position in Washington state.Job Details• Hospital-based pediatric operating room setting at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with a Level IV NICU,• Patient population ranges from neonates to 18 years, including adult-sized patients, infants, developmentally delayed patients, and those with congenital anomalies,• Case types include pediatric trauma (MVAs, GSWs, shaken baby), neurosurgery (craniotomies, EVDs, shunts), spine (scoliosis repairs, spinal injuries), urology, GYN, ortho, oncology, ENT, general surgery, and preferred experience in dental, ophthalmology, and robotics (Da Vinci XI),• EMR is Epic,• 10-hour day shifts, 0645-1715, 40 hours per week,• Weekend shifts are unlikely but possible if weekend staff are unavailable; call is typically on weekends,• On-call required approximately 2 weeknights (1900-0700) and 1 weekend (1900 Friday-0700 Monday) every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute response time,• Floating may be required to the PICU and to NICU cases at the affiliated campus facility connected by walkway,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of acute OR experience required; candidates with exactly 2 years must demonstrate high-level experience,• Pediatric OR experience required; combined adult and pediatric experience will be considered,• BLS, CST, and Washington state license required (license required if applicable),• Proficiency scrubbing across a broad range of case types including neuro, spine, urology, GYN, ortho, oncology, ENT, and general surgery,• Highly preferred skills include robotics (Da Vinci XI), high-level neuro, ophthalmology, and dental - candidates lacking these skills require manager approval,• Epic EMR experience preferred,Additional Information• First-time travelers are generally not considered unless the candidate has 5+ years of extensive OR and pediatric experience,• Scrubs are provided by the facility,• Free parking is available on-site,• A supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) is required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start,• Candidates will go through a Simplifi clinical interview followed by a unit final review
