American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with Epic experience and Level 1 Trauma background for a night shift position at an acute care hospital in Illinois.Job Details• Inpatient respiratory care department at an acute care hospital, including coverage in inpatient units and the Emergency Room,• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts,• No on-call required,• Epic EMR - experience required,• Level 1 Trauma facility,Job Requirements• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy,• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential,• Illinois RCP license required if applicable,• BLS certification (American Heart Association),• Epic EMR experience required,• Level 1 Trauma experience required,• Solid understanding of all aspects of respiratory care,• English proficiency required (speak, read, write),• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• Responsibilities include performing respiratory assessments on ventilator and general inpatient patients, obtaining and analyzing arterial, venous, and capillary blood gases, and evaluating patients for routine respiratory therapy,• Prepares, tests, operates, and performs routine maintenance checks on respiratory therapy equipment, reporting any malfunctions to management,• Accurately documents care, patient response, and charges in the EMR, including respiratory flow sheets, care plans, and sleep therapy documentation,• Assists with cleaning and restocking respiratory care equipment and supplies on inpatient units,• Time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract,• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
