As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Health Professions & Instruction Librarian to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by developing and delivering information literacy instruction, providing in-depth research assistance, and collaborating with campus partners to enhance information services.The applicant will excel at cultivating and sustaining relationships with faculty, students, researchers, staff and Marian affiliated partners in support of teaching, learning, information literacy and research.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.Primary liaison with College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Nursing, Exercise Science and PT/OT programDesign and present creative and practical instructional sessions and library outreach. Instruction would be expected to occur in-person and online, in settings such as classes, workshops, webinars, and one-on-one and small group meetings.Collaborate with library team to design and deliver instructional materials related to AI and emerging technologiesProvide expert advice and support for students, faculty, and staff in using citation management tools, evidence synthesis tools, and supporting evidence-based practice.Demonstrate professional development and service through presentations, publications, and/or active membership in professional organizations.Develop and sustain accessible online learning resources (research guides, tutorials, and LMS modules) grounded in best practices for pedagogy, universal design, and instructional design.Additional responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director, University LibrariesUniversity Expectations: Knowledge of and a commitment to the mission of Marian UniversityAdheres to Marian University's policies and proceduresShows courtesy and respect in interactions with fellow employees, students subordinates, and supervisorsCommunicates regularly with supervisor about Department issuesMeets department productivity standardsParticipates in developing department goals, objective, and systemsAssists to establish department measurements that align and support the accomplishment of the University's strategic goalsAdheres to the department budgetRequired Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
