Job Description

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local long-term care provider in Detroit, MI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current state RRT license in good standing with the Michigan licensing board.One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute settings preferred.BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilators (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen delivery systems, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and arterial blood gas sampling.Experience performing 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, oximetry and capnography monitoring.Ability to operate and perform set-up and self-tests on ventilatory equipment and perform pulmonary function testing per policy.Ability to assist with respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy support, chest tube management, and PleurX drainage as applicable.Assignment DetailsFacility Type: Long-Term Care.Shift: Nights, 3x12.Duration: 13-week assignment.Positions Available: 1.Location HighlightsDetroit offers a mix of urban culture and waterfront access within short commutes.
