TITLE: ACADEMIC INTERVENTIONISTCLASSIFICATION: PART-TIME, NON-EXEMPTREPORTS TO: PRINCIPALDEPARTMENT: STUDENT SERVICESOverview of Position:The Academic Interventionist's role is to help students continue to show academic growth in reading and math. Academic Interventionists are responsible for planning and instructing small group lessons, supporting students with exceptionalities in the general education classroom, and supporting students in a variety of settings at Calvin Christian School. Required Spiritual Qualifications Must have and profess a personal and mature commitment to faith in Jesus Christ and affirm the school's statement of faith/basis of instruction and mission statement. Must believe, without reservation, and actively support the school's Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and mission statement; possess a strong, clear Christian testimony; demonstrate a mature, godly spirit as a person of faith and prayer.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone.Required HoursMonday through Friday during student attendance, hours are negotiable.Pay & BenefitsThis position is a part-time hourly position. Hourly pay ranges between $16-$18 (commensurate with experience). This roleis not eligible for benefits but does accrue Self-Care Time (SCT) per school policy.Physical RequirementsSit and stand for long periods of time.Speak clearly so listeners can understand.Understand the speech of another person.Must be able to work in a demanding work environment. The employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, read, see and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to type, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Travel RequirementsNone.Working Conditions Work is performed in a typical classroom environment.
