A Pharmacist Manager position is available at a hospital in Carbondale, CO, offering a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This role focuses on managing inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and cost-effective medication therapies, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing pharmacy policies, supervising medication storage and preparation, maintaining formulary integrity, and overseeing controlled substance accountability. The role also involves managing pharmacy personnel, conducting performance evaluations, scheduling, and providing staff education. The Pharmacist Manager will contribute to strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and participate actively in organizational committees. Maintaining professional competence through licensure and management meetings is essential. Candidates must have: A PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited school Current, good-standing Colorado pharmacy license Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy operations and clinical services Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system; experience with Meditech is a plus as the facility transitions EMR systems Strong regulatory knowledge, clinical judgment, communication, and teaching skills BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) Flu vaccination compliance (required from October 1st through April 1st; no exemptions) Schedule: Day shift, 40 hours per week This opportunity is ideal for pharmacy leaders ready to manage and enhance inpatient pharmacy services within a dynamic hospital environment.
