A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in retail filling and mail order pharmacy services. This role is based in the El Cajon/Chula Vista, CA area and offers the chance to work in a specialized mail order pharmacy environment focused on diabetic medical supplies. Key Responsibilities: Verify products and ensure accuracy in fulfillment of boxed items, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, clerks, and drivers to manage daily workflow and maintain quality. Utilize and learn the Brightree program system to support accurate processing. Provide excellent communication within the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations. Maintain compliance with all state pharmacy regulations and quality standards. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Current and valid California State Pharmacist License in good standing without any negative history. Previous retail and/or mail order pharmacy experience, particularly with filling and processing. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Ability to adapt to a specialized environment with a moderate volume of complex items. Candidates with multiple pharmacy licenses are highly encouraged, especially for consideration for a permanent Site Manager role. Schedule and Location: Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the potential to stay until work is completed. Position located near 2084 Otay Lake Road, Chula Vista, CA. This contract assignment is expected to last for at least 13 weeks and offers a dynamic working environment within a supportive team structure. Tech support is provided, ensuring pharmacists are never handling tasks in isolation.
