IV Certified Pharmacy Technician - New Hyde Park, NY

A reputable infusion pharmacy in the New Hyde Park area is seeking two skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technicians for a focused 13-week contract, with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance. This position demands precision, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaboration with pharmacists and pharmacy management to ensure optimal medication preparation and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Compound sterile IV medications in a clean room setting under direct pharmacist supervision. Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous admixtures. Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement. Assist pharmacists in final prescription checking, labeling, packaging, and coordinating timely delivery to customers. Support pharmacy management in inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates. Maintain a clean, safe work environment; ensure equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness in partnership with the Technician Supervisor. Qualifications and Experience: Current New York Pharmacy Technician license required. National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician. Previous experience in IV/Infusion pharmacy compounding highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and understanding of sterile compounding procedures. Ability to work efficiently within a team and follow government regulations.
