A specialty pharmacist role is available on a contract basis in Ithaca, NY, offering a unique opportunity within a new Specialty Pharmacy setting. This position involves a blend of clinical and dispensing duties with a focus on specialty medications. The average prescription volume is approximately 50 per month, fostering a manageable yet impactful workflow. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with oncology providers, clinical and pharmacy personnel, and support teams such as Prior Authorization and Financial Assistance. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to ensure seamless patient care and access to medications. Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist in New York Experience in specialty pharmacy practice Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records is required Oncology pharmacy experience or familiarity with oral oncology medications is preferred but not mandatory This role offers the potential to transition from a contract to a permanent position depending on performance and mutual fit. Immediate availability is desired, with an initial duration of approximately eight weeks or longer.
