We are especially committed to supporting under-resourced communities and ensuring that high-quality mental health services are accessible to those who need them most.At TMH Behavioral Services, clinicians are supported with the infrastructure they need so they can focus on what matters most, providing excellent care to clients.Position OverviewTMH Behavioral Services is seeking a compassionate Child & Family Therapist to provide therapy services to children ages 5-12 and their families. This clinician will support children experiencing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges while collaborating with caregivers and other support systems.This is a flexible contract opportunity ideal for clinicians who want autonomy over their schedule while working within a supportive behavioral health organization.Clinicians will provide individual therapy, family therapy, case management, and community support services to strengthen emotional well-being and overall functioning.Typical Caseload Range:10-15 clients per week depending on clinician availability.TMH Behavioral Services maintains a strong referral network, allowing clinicians to build and maintain a consistent caseload.Key Responsibilities Provide individual and family therapy to children with emotional or behavioral concerns• Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record• Provide billable case management services connecting families to community resources• Provide billable community support services to improve emotional and social functioning• Collaborate with parents, schools, and other providers involved in the child's care• Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches• Participate in case consultations and team collaboration when appropriate• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory guidelines• Engage in ongoing professional development and clinical trainingQualificationsMaster's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field• Illinois licensure preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) or eligibility for licensure• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children in a clinical setting preferred• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills• Experience with evidence-based practices such as CBT, trauma-informed care, play therapy, or family systems approaches• Bilingual clinicians (Spanish, ASL, etc.) are strongly encouraged to applyWhat TMH ProvidesTMH Behavioral Services provides the operational infrastructure clinicians need to focus on clinical care.Flexible schedule - clinicians choose their own availability• No minimum billable hour requirements• Strong referral pipeline and consistent client demand• Insurance credentialing support• Billing and claims management handled by administrative team• Access to our electronic health record system (TheraNest)• Clinical consultation and supervision opportunities• Continuing education and professional development opportunities• Supportive and collaborative clinical environmentWhy Clinicians Join TMH Behavioral ServicesClinicians at TMH appreciate the balance of flexibility, autonomy, and professional support while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.Our organization continues to grow through strong community partnerships and a commitment to providing high-quality behavioral health services.How to ApplyInterested clinicians should submit:Resume or CV• Professional license information (if applicable)Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview.Clinician are hired based on the schedule and populations discussed during the hiring process.
