Superintendent - Commercial & Healthcare Construction(Ground-Up & Renovation)Position OverviewWe're seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead the execution of commercial and healthcare constructionprojects - from the ground up through complex renovations and facility upgrades. The ideal candidate will provideon-site leadership, manage field operations, and coordinate all project activities to ensure quality, safety, andefficiency.This role requires experience working in both occupied healthcare environments and large-scale commercialconstruction sites. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills,with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction, including healthcare or medical facility projectsProven success overseeing both ground-up and renovation projectsOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong leadership, coordination, and communication skillsPreferred:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience with large-scale commercial structures, tilt-wall, or industrial projectsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredFamiliarity with AHCA, ICRA, and healthcare-specific construction requirementsCore ResponsibilitiesPreconstruction & PlanningCollaborate with project management and estimating teams during budgeting, scheduling, and preconstructionphasesDevelop detailed logistics, phasing, and safety plans tailored to each projectConduct kickoff and coordination meetings with subcontractors and vendorsVerify that manpower, materials, and equipment align with project goalsConstruction OversightLead field operations from mobilization through final completionManage all aspects of ground-up healthcare and commercial construction, including expansions andinterior build-outsSupervise renovation activities in occupied medical environments, ensuring infection control and minimaldisruptionCoordinate subcontractors, inspections, and daily reporting through project management platformsEnsure compliance with project drawings, submittals, and quality standardsSafety & Quality ManagementPromote a safety-first culture and enforce compliance with OSHA standardsConduct daily jobsite inspections and regular safety meetingsImplement and oversee QA/QC programs to ensure craftsmanship and accuracyMaintain clean, organized, and compliant worksitesLeadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and Field EngineersLead weekly coordination meetings to align project prioritiesFoster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture across all project teamsCloseout & HandoverOversee project completion, punch list, and turnover documentationCoordinate commissioning, final inspections, and owner training sessionsEnsure timely and accurate closeout deliverablesSkills & AttributesStrong leadership and communication skills across all levels of a project teamDeep knowledge of commercial and healthcare construction processesProven ability to manage both new construction and renovation projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented, proactive, and able to problem-solve effectively under pressureProficient in digital project management tools and construction technologyWork EnvironmentMust be willing to travel regionally to project sites as requiredPosition involves on-site work in active construction and healthcare environmentsExposure to standard construction conditions including varying weather and site activity
