Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift NICU assignment, requiring NRP certification and recent NICU experience.Job Details• Work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specializing in Level 2 and Level 3 newborn care,• 12-hour night shifts totaling approximately 36 hours per week,• Position involves rotation every third weekend,• Patient population includes neonates in birthing hospital NICU setting,• Delivery room experience is preferred,Job Requirements• Active MA RRT license required if applicable,• NRP and AHA CPR certification are required,• Minimum of 2 years of relevant NICU respiratory therapy experience,• High school diploma or GED required,• Experience managing artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, administering aerosolized medications, and providing oxygen therapy,• No local travelers accepted (must reside at least 50 miles from the facility),• Must not have been employed (travel, perm, per diem) at a Beth Israel Lahey Health facility within the last 6 months,• COVID-19 vaccine, booster, and flu vaccine required; medical exemptions may be allowed,Additional Information• Perform and interpret respiratory care tests and procedures in collaboration with the healthcare team,• Work autonomously across a range of clinical scenarios, including respiratory care protocol administration,• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays, excluding holidays,• Pass/fail testing may be required for Tele/ECG and Medication on certain campuses,• Personal protective equipment and parking details provided upon assignment,• All requests for time off must be submitted at time of consideration,• Return-to-work policy requires a six-month gap for previous employees,• First-time travelers are not specified as eligible,
