Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Location: Reno, NV 89511 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM Schedule: Variable days; on-call as needed Candidate Requirement: Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care across adult and neonatal critical care environments. This role requires a highly skilled clinician with strong Level III NICU experience and the ability to float between adult and neonatal intensive care units. Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of Level III NICU experience (Do not submit candidates without this background) Demonstrated competency in: High-frequency ventilation Nitric oxide therapy Heliox administration Neonatal intubation Neonatal ventilator management Bubble CPAP Heated high-flow therapy for neonates Neonatal arterial puncture Delivery room attendance RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required ABG certification/license required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required NICU transport experience preferred Work Expectations May be scheduled for on-call shifts as needed Must be willing to float between adult critical care and neonatal critical care units Key Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians Perform diagnostic evaluations including collection and analysis of physiological specimens Interpret cardiopulmonary data and conduct related tests and studies Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support Provide artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and oxygen therapy Administer pharmacologic agents related to respiratory care Support cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular care Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans Apply respiratory care protocols across various clinical settings
