Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Clinical SupervisorFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Summary:The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one or small group behavior therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT implements individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to help clients develop communication, social, academic, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver ABA therapy according to treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) consistently and accurately.Collect, record, and summarize data on client progress during each session.Assist clients in developing communication, social, academic, and life skills.Use reinforcement strategies and other evidence-based interventions.Follow safety protocols and crisis intervention procedures when needed.Communicate regularly with the BCBA regarding progress, concerns, and updates.Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other regulations.Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (some employers prefer an associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field).Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or willingness to complete training and certification within [timeframe, e.g., 90 days].Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement treatment plans with fidelity.Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities.Knowledge of ABA principles and data collection methods.Training in crisis prevention and intervention techniques.Working ConditionsSchool, clinic, home, or community setting depending on assignment.May require standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, or engaging in physical play with clients.Flexible schedule with potential evenings or weekends based on client needs.
