Job Description

This opportunity is for a licensed School Psychologist interested in supporting a diverse student population across multiple grade levels, including preschool, elementary, middle, and high school settings, as well as a specialized school. The role is based in Bear, DE, within a large district offering a full continuum of special education services up to the "D setting." The position is a full-time contract lasting through June 10th, with paid professional development days included. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and testing, especially supporting elementary-level needs with a testing-heavy workload. Collaborate with school teams to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and provide services aligned with students' needs. Support special education programming across settings including medical, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, and diploma of alternate achievement. Participate in a multidisciplinary team including other school psychologists and special education coordinators. Provide direct services primarily at one school site with potential split assignments at elementary schools. Qualifications and Experience: Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility, with support available for transferring license to Delaware. Willingness to work with a license pending status while completing transfer requirements. Experience in school psychological services, including assessment, consultation, and intervention. Ability to serve diverse student populations across age and ability ranges. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in collaborative educational environments.
