Novato Unified School District (NUSD) has approximately 800 staff members who, along with the larger school community, are responsible for the education of 7,100 students. We have eight elementary schools (including one dual-language immersion and one TK-8 school), two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools. NUSD also has an Alternative Education Center housing a continuation school and an independent study student program serving grades 6-12. All schools within Novato Unified offer special education services, along with Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and special assistance is provided for all English learner students. At NUSD Bilingual Spanish Authorization holders earn an annual stipend of $1,000, prorated for length of assignment. At NUSD All Special Education Teachers earn an additional $1,500 per year, prorated for length of assignment. At NUSD School Psychologists and Speech Language Pathologists earn an additional $1,000 annually. Novato Unified is only accepting applications on EdJoin.
