The Health Activation Specialist I is a strategy marketing role that supports UPMC's mission of delivering life-changing medicine by helping members and patients engage in their health journeys. This role contributes to campaigns and outreach initiatives that improve access to preventive care, support condition management, and enhance overall patient and member experience. By assisting with digital engagement and campaign execution, the Specialist I ensures individuals feel supported, informed, and motivated to take action on their health. This is a hybrid role located in downtown Pittsburgh at the UPMC Corporate Headquarters.RequirementsGet closer to your responsibilities.Draft campaign briefs, coordinate timelines, and partner with creative and channel teams to deliver accurate, empathetic, and compliant communicationsMonitor campaign performance, track KPIs, and prepare reports focused on member/patient satisfaction and engagement outcomesAssist in executing multichannel campaigns (email, SMS, outbound calls, mail, social media) that reflect UPMC's mission and patient-centered valuesSupport onboarding and education initiatives for digital tools (apps, portals, telehealth, wearables) to improve patient and member experienceContribute to initiatives promoting and supporting preventive care, chronic condition management, and overall wellnessDraft copy for use across a variety of communication vehicles for diverse audiences including internal stakeholders, academics, entrepreneurs, physicians, and software engineersSupport and maintain department communications calendar, including execution and review cycles, channel interaction, etc.Ensure campaigns are inclusive, culturally appropriate, and compliant with regulatory and privacy requirementsResearch and stay apprised of advancements in digital health tool industry best practicesExperience, skills, knowledge.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related field0-1 years of marketing, communications, or healthcare experience (internships acceptable)Strong written, organizational and communication skillsFamiliarity with digital marketing tools and analytics a plusDemonstrated service-oriented behavior in cross-functional collaborative interactions with clients and co-workersPerforms in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors Performs other duties as assigned
