Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) - Pulmonary | Travel/Contract Location: Libertyville Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center | Level II NICU | Teaching Hospital | Magnet Facility | Primary Stroke Center Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to work across the full patient lifespan (neonates to geriatrics) in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care and ventilator management experience . Key ResponsibilitiesProvide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patientsManage ventilators and advanced airway supportPerform:ABG draws and interpretationSpontaneous breathing trialsProning techniquesAssist with:ECMO support (if applicable)Nitrous oxide proceduresManage patients with:TracheostomiesVentilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) prevention and treatment Requirements (MUST HAVE)Experience: Minimum 2 years (REQUIRED) with full lifespan care (Peds + Adults + Geri)Licensure: Active Illinois RT LicenseCertifications (ALL REQUIRED at submission): BLS (AHA)ACLS (AHA)PALSNRPRRT (Preferred) or CRT acceptedEMR Experience: Epic (Required) Clinical Skills RequiredTracheostomy careVentilator management (critical care)Nitrous oxide proceduresProning techniquesECMO exposureVAP prevention/managementSpontaneous breathing trialsABG draws Facility & Unit DetailsBeds: 273Patient Ratio: 1:1Patient Population: Neonates to geriatric respiratory patientsPPE: Fully available (including N95) Equipment & TechnologyVentilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, HamiltonCPAP/BiPAP: V60s, ResMed, RemStarHigh Flow: OptiflowTransport Vents: Hamilton Support & Work EnvironmentSupervisor support onsiteCollaborative, high-acuity team environment FloatingMay float to other facilities within the health system (based on contract) Orientation1 day unit orientation ScheduleShift: 12-hour shiftsWeekend Rotation: Every other weekendOn-Call: NoneHolidays: Based on department needs Additional InformationScrubs: Charcoal Gray (Required)Parking: Free
