Travel CT Tech in Richmond, VA

A skilled computed tomography (CT) technologist is needed for an engaging travel opportunity based in Richmond, VA. This role requires a keen understanding of CT imaging within a dynamic Radiology department. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in radiologic sciences, with hands-on experience operating GE scanners and proficiency in EPIC systems preferred. Key Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of CT experience; 2 years in radiology preferred Active ARRT(R) certification; ARRT(R)(CT) preferred Valid Virginia Radiology license and current BLS certification required Experience with GE CT scanners mandatory Strong technical skills and detailed knowledge of Radiology/CT practices Ability to gather, verify, and analyze data for complex procedures Responsibilities: Conduct CT imaging exams and intravenous contrast injections, ensuring patient safety throughout Prepare imaging equipment and examination rooms; maintain cleanliness and equipment functionality Complete all clerical duties accurately, including documentation and quality control logs Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols per regulatory guidelines Provide patient and family education regarding procedures when necessary Participate in rotating on-call schedule approximately every six weeks covering evenings, nights, and weekends Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient-centered care and uphold organizational values of compassion, respect, and excellence Schedule Details: Call rotation every 6 weeks including 3pm-9:30pm Mon-Thurs, Friday 3pm-7am, and 7am-7am weekend shifts Call durations vary from 6.5 to 24 hours including overnight coverage Richmond, Virginia, offers a vibrant blend of historic charm and modern amenities, making it an inviting location for professionals seeking a balance of career advancement and quality of life.
