The Assistant Director of Residential Clinical Services works in collaboration with the Program Director and/or Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) Administrator to oversee and implement the overall mental health treatment program in the STRTP. Together, they are responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and sustainable environment for youth and staff. Responsibilities: * Maintaining a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment at STRTP and TrSCF * Ensuring that each youth admitted to the STRTP has a mental health assessment * Ensuring that each youth in the STRTP has commonality of needs with the other youth in the STRTP * Ensuring the mental health services identified on each treatment plan are provided and appropriate to meet the individual needs of the child * Monitoring the quality of the mental health services provided to youth * Ensuring that documentation and recordkeeping requirements are met * Providing direct supervision to licensed and unlicensed, board registered clinical staff (APCC, ASW, AMFT) * Facilitating and coordinating the work of multidisciplinary teams (including CFT meetings, provider meetings, internal planning/debrief meetings, and other ad hoc collaborations) to ensure high-quality and effective treatment for all enrolled youth * Working with program leaders to perform personnel functions for all staff, including overseeing hiring, professional development, evaluation, and termination * Cultivating effective partnerships with applicable county offices, school districts, law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other community providers, and facilitating effective training for partners, as requested * Engaging in data-based program assessment activities to evaluate effectiveness and guide improvement * Utilizing crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's Equilibrium model training. This may include intervening with the clients' behavioral Qualifications: Required * Must hold a current, active California license in good standing as one of: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, licensed psychologist, or board-certified psychiatrist * At least two years post-licensure; must be eligible to provide clinical supervision per the California Board of Behavioral requirements * Prior experience working with children/youth and families with intensive mental health needs * Participates in the leadership on‑call rotation, providing phone support and responding in person when needed to ensure safety and required staffing levels * TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements * At least 21 years of age Schedule * Full-time; Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm * Flexible schedule to work some evenings and weekends * In person services required Benefits * Starting at $113,640 - $127,640 * Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role * Salary increases each year * Additional compensation provided upon passing a bilingual language proficiency exam * $2,000 sign-on bonus for new Seneca employees! * Comprehensive benefits package: * Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverage * 50% paid premiums for dependents * Long-term disability, family leave, and life insurance * 403b Retirement Plan * Employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan * 5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays * Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employer * Relocation assistance is available for eligible staff * Opportunities for internal promotions across California and Washington * Specialized training and development opportunities
