You will help establish transportation policies and procedures. Additionally, you will provide direction to transport and non-transport personnel to effectively execute the functions and activities of the department. Plan, organize and control shipments of radioactive and non-radioactive, nuclear related products to and from several licensed consignees, including customer reactor sites and other Westinghouse locations.You will report to the US Transport & Logistics Senior Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite at the Columbia plant.Key Responsibilities:Direct and implement the physical movement of shipments and prepare all legally required documentationImplement transportation plans through analysis of conditions for delivery, regulatory requirements, alternative transportation options, and costManage appropriate metrics for U.S. Transport Operations. Provide periodic reporting of shipments and deliveries, project milestones, and supplier performanceCommunicate with Customers, Suppliers, Trade Compliance, Plant personnel and other individuals, both internal and externalPerform responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local and site-specific regulations and agreements. Support audit preparation and complianceWrite and revise procedures to ensure consistency with all safety, regulatory compliance and site work requirementsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED required5 years in a regulated, global transportation and logistics function - preferred 2+ years of experience shipping / transporting hazardous materialsExperience of transportation principles and understanding of U.S. Import/Export regulations.Subject matter expertise in Class 7 - Radioactive Materials Transportation preferredPreferred - CHMP - Certified Hazardous Materials ProfessionalWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
