Collaborative Behavior Interventionist

Duties The Collective Behavioral Interventionist will support and implement behavior care plans and interventions for students, classroom management techniques, and to support staff working with the students. The position includes the ability to collect data, complete observations, provide training, develop and implement plans, and collaborate with staff and parents. Essential Functions * Participate in IEP process and serve as a resource for the student personnel team * Collect data about student's behaviors * Create behavior reduction goals and plans * Communicate behavioral intervention results * Assist and guide students and staff to reinforce positive behavior, communication, social skills and academic skills * Assist professional staff in the administration and correction of skills and developed plans * Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials, behavioral materials and skills for student needs * Assist with record keeping procedures * Assist with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, and ensure a safe and orderly environment * Accompany students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision as needed * Collaborate with staff and team members for professional development and growth * Participate in IEP process and serves as a resource for the student personnel team * Assist students with physical or mental disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or work learning activities * Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students including those with disabilities or special needs * May assist in the training of other staff members using Behavior Skills Training * Collaborate with staff and team members for professional development and growth * Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration as needed * Perform any other related duties as assigned Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, Abilities * Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form * Ability to work on a team and communicate clearly * Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals * Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others * Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work * Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required * Effective writing and verbal communication skills Certification/License * Professional Educator's License with LBS1 endorsement or; * Professional Educator's License with at least one of the following endorsements: LBS1, LBS2, School Social Worker or School Psychologist * Successful completion of behavior modification training * Prior experience of working with school aged children with special needs * Preferred completion of RBT Competency Assessment and RBT Exam * Preferred successful completion of required hours of BCBA training or working towards BCBA certification Salary/Benefits Salary and Benefits will be based on the negotiated salary agreement, once aproved. Extra-duty stipends are also available. The 2025-2026 salary range began at $42,100.
