JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Site Manager, the Lead Clinic Coordinator independently performs a variety of advanced clerical and operational functions with significant patient and provider interaction. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate patient registration, managing scheduling workflows, supporting EHR processes, and overseeing front desk operations.The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and compliance with HIPAA regulations.JOB DUTIESFront Desk & Patient ServicesServe as the lead point of contact for front desk operations.Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.Verify and enter accurate patient demographic and insurance information.Collect copayments and outstanding balances at check-in.Answer calls professionally and route appropriatel.Operational OversightAct as overseer in the absence of the Site Manager.Ensure smooth daily clinic operations and patient flow.Assist with staffing coverage when team members are absent.Maintain office supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.Financial & Administrative DutiesReconcile daily balances and prepare deposits.Assist with deposit reporting and tracking spreadsheets.Support charge ticket reconciliation and EHR accuracy.Compliance & CoordinationMaintain knowledge of insurance plans and FQHC requirements.Assist with Medicaid applications (MPE, CountyCare, newborn add-ons).Ensure compliance with Sliding Fee Scale program requirements.Coordinate mobile unit schedules and CPS health screenings.Additional DutiesEnter provider templates into Centricity as needed.Follow up on no-show patients and reschedule appointments.Perform Call Center responsibilities as needed.Complete additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED (required).Associate degree or some college coursework (preferred).Experience2-3 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting.2-3 years of experience with scheduling and patient registration.2-3 years of direct customer service or patient-facing experience.Prior supervisory or lead experience (preferred).EHR experience (preferred).Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Ability to work independently and within a team.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent patient interaction with potential exposure to communicable illnessesAbility to attend occasional evening or weekend trainingsCompliance with TB testing and vaccination policies (required).COMPENSATION & BENEFITSHourly Rate: $20.00Comprehensive Benefits Package, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision CoveragePaid Time Off (PTO) & HolidaysProfessional Development OpportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Occupational Risk for Exposure to TB:There is an occupational risk for exposure to TB, as this position involves extensive community and patient contact.
