Job Title: Substance Use Specialist (MHC-LP, LMHC,LMSW,LCSW)Job Summary: CASES is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Substance Use Specialist to join our dynamic ACT team. This role is ideal for a Master's-level mental health clinician who thrives in the field, values autonomy, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use needs.As a Substance Use Specialist, you'll bring your clinical expertise directly into the community; meeting clients where they are, building authentic relationships, and delivering high-impact services with fidelity to the ACT model. You'll play a key role in helping clients navigate their recovery journey by providing individualized psychoeducation, harm-reduction support, and motivational interventions tailored to each person's stage of change.In this role, you'll assess substance use patterns, support clients in identifying their goals, and advocate with external providers to ensure they receive the most clinically appropriate care. While you bring specialized knowledge in substance use treatment, you'll also contribute as a well-rounded ACT clinician; offering support across all areas of client need.This is a chance to join a supportive team, grow your clinical skill set, and be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to promoting recovery, reducing incarceration, and strengthening communities.Salary: The salary for this role is $66,950 per yearShift Hours: This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMLocation Address: 25 Chapel Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.Workplace Flexibility: Flexible - For roles that have days that can be partially remote -Office work 4 days per week and Community work is 5 days per week, can finish notes from home. What You Will Be Doing: Provide at least 80 percent of treatment contacts in the community and complete expected minimum monthly treatment contacts, including leading groups when clinically indicated.Attend and participate in daily team meetings to discuss clients' clinical and case management issues and needs.Complete documentations required by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's (DOHMH) licensing guidelines, NYS Medicaid billing guidelines as well as per CASES ACT Policy and Procedures.Collaborate with client's support network and other service providers on treatment planning, service coordination, and case management support with the goal of promoting client's recovery and stability in the community.Provide clinical services that are anti-racist, gender-responsive, culturally humble, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, client-centered, and evidence-based.Complete required documentations and toxicology tests for clients with active Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT)order.
