The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking outstanding individuals to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at UT Southwestern and Children's Health Dallas. Eligible applicants will join the growing Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Division, which typically covers two inpatient services. Faculty members also work in outpatient Pulmonary clinics at Children's Health. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Inpatient coverage at Children's Health Dallas plus rounding on a dedicated Pediatric Pulmonology floor and Pulmonary consultation service throughout the hospital. * Consultations that arise from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, tertiary level NICU, and general and subspecialty areas. * Support one of the largest Cystic Fibrosis Centers in the country. * Outpatient clinics which involve high risk asthma, aerodigestive, sickle cell, neuromuscular, primary ciliary dyskinesia, mechanical ventilation, and general pulmonology. * Participation in a large sleep program consisting of a 24-bed sleep center split between two campuses. * Participation in the educational programs for Pediatric residents, fellows, nurses, and medical students is expected. Candidates should have a record of academic success and commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching. Interest in niche conditions such as rare lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia is a bonus. Training in Sleep Medicine is available Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be Board eligible or certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.
